After working for many years as a freelance photographer, I began about nine years ago to focus on a visual means of expression beyond the “objective” realism of photography. My camera would remain my main tool in this process.
In the beginning it was the wonderful richness of my garden that inspired me. I then proceeded to “paint” digitally and create new compositions from my photos.
I am fascinated by structures, colors, light and the possibilities of truth and imagination. My intention is to inspire the soul with decorative art. Besides working with flowers and botanicals I am interested in any objects with geometrical and symmetrical structures.
I love the possibilities that photography and digital painting offer to experience beauty in unexpected ways. I am always curious to experiment and create something new.
